Octolings, sometimes referred to with the hypocorism Octo, are a species of humanoid cephalopod, acting as the Octarian equivalent of Inklings, that became available as playable characters in Splatoon 2 after beating the downloadable solo campaign Octo Expansion. In Splatoon 3, Octolings are instead playable from the start, just like Inklings
